Ms. Onyeibe is a recent retiree from the City of Dallas. As Africa Liaison, she was responsible for all bi-lateral trade and cultural exchange opportunities between the city of Dallas and the whole of Africa, with concentration in West African countries. In her role Ms. Onyeibe changed the game with how Africa was viewed and received at the City of Dallas.
In this role Ms. Onyeibe had inimitable opportunities to interface with decision makers of many African nations, as well as top business executives across Africa, giving her access and sound relationships most could only dream of. She has 25+ years of travel on the continent of Africa, which gives her a unique perspective of ‘All Things Africa’ regarding business, as well as cultural norms.

Recognized as a trail blazer from the Office of the President (Barack Obama) through the USTR – Africa
Integral part of team that hosted African Presidents, Vice Presidents, Governors, Traditional Rulers, Ministers, Chairman and business executives on various occasions during their visits to Dallas
Honorable mention from the Dallas Museum of Art for ensuring the Ghana Ashanti Kingdom had representation in Dallas when the gold exhibit made its way to the DMA
Invited and attended both Nigerian Presidential inaugurations, as well as inaugural Governor ceremonies
Guided 20+ African families through the EB5 process through the city’s Regional Center
Lead 2 successful delegations of US CEOs to Nigeria to explore business opportunities
Handled all aspects of scheduling numerous successful marketing events in both Nigeria and South Africa for the city’s EB5 program. This entailed communicating with those on ground in both countries, signing off on marketing efforts, PR, venues, dates, times etc. for each event.
Responsible for 9 additional African flags now flying in the Flag Room at Dallas City Hall. Each flag required an official ceremony from either a government official or a business executive from that country to the Mayor or City Council person of Dallas.
Many years of attending AGOA conferences, as well as the Africa Business Summit, to continue building and sustaining meaningful relationships with African nations.
Held bi-annual “Doing Business with Africa” Round Tables in Dallas, where I invited African business executives and government officials to attend and speak on behalf of their countries to high level decision makers from the business community in Dallas
Spearheaded an American-Nigerian Immersion for the Leadership of Nigerian Chairman whereby I put together and executed a 4-day program. This immersion included interacting with Dallas PD, and Fire; a tour of our state of the art Waste Management plant, Water plant, Recycling plant, attended an actual city council meeting, then met with the Mayor and City Council to ask any questions. Chairmen/women also met with the business community, as well as got to see our beautiful city up close and personal. The immersion ended on a high note with a visit to the famous Dallas Cowboy, state of the art stadium, with a personal tour.
